Dear Prospective Healing Arts Student,

 

This website will provide you with information about upcoming classes at Holistic Horizons.  For your convenience, and to expedite the process, we have also added an application packet.  Please read all the information.  Any questions that you may have about information not explained in the following pages can be asked either prior to the interview or at the interview.  School policies, etc., are explained at orientation.

 

The new module schedule is designed to help students to pace themselves according to their abilities and time constraints.  It is also a way for the students to assess if a career in the healing arts is what they choose to do, without the risk of enrolling in the entire program.  The new module schedule was suggested at the ABMP 2000 School Issues Forum.  (Holistic Horizons has been selected to be a participant each year since it opened.  There are over 1100 schools nationwide, and only (approximately) 50 schools each year are selected to attend).  The module system is working very well.  The use of modules helps to attract and keep the serious student.  Being a practitioner of the healing arts ( massage therapy, bodywork, etc.) requires both physical and emotional stamina.  Many students experience personal growth while they are students, and continue to grow as they work to help other people along their path to wellness.

 

Holistic Horizons is an institute designed to foster the study of the healing arts.  We have a wide and varied curriculum.  Students are exposed to a variety of topics and not just the basic massage therapy techniques.  Holistic Horizons follows the guidelines for topics that would be included on the national certification exam.  Holistic Horizons also prides itself on providing its students information on the latest trends in the bodywork/healing arts field.
