Holistic Healing Techniques
Massage Therapy: Massage is the oldest form of medical treatment known. Massage therapy involves the stroking, kneading, moving of muscles of the body. There are many types of massage therapy available today, from light relaxation massage to deep tissue.
Reflexology: Reflexology is a modality that works primarily on the feet. It may also be used on the hands and ears. Each part of the body has a corresponding area on the hands, feet and ears. By stimulating these spots, the overall body can receive benefits.
Aromatherapy: Aromatherapy has been around for centuries. It involves the use of certain aromas (or smells) to promote healing, or create a certain emotion. The aromas stimulate the old factory system of the brain.
Feng Shui: Feng Shui is the placement of objects in and around your environment to create balance and harmony in your life.
Colors: The study of colors and their therapeutic effects on the body, mind and spirit is relatively new, however, it is a very old concept. All marketing tactics utilize color as a key component in stimulating customers to purchase items. Each color has a different effect on the brain.
Numbers: Numbers are also an ancient tool used in helping to assess the health (among other things) of individuals. This class is very beneficial with the Feng Shui class.
Manifesting: Manifesting is creating the things you desire in life. It is based on the power of positive thinking. We create everything that happens to us in our life, both positive and negative.
Reiki: Reiki has been around since before 620 B.C. It is an energy-based technique to promote relaxation and increase circulation in the body. (If you have seen the movie The Karate Kid, Reiki is used on the boy when he hurts his knee and needs to continue.)
Chakra: There are seven major charka centers in the body, which relate to the endocrine glands. Each charka has a different color and function. It is beneficial to take the colors class with this class. |
